This Privacy Policy explains how Nibblr LLC ("Nibblr", "we", or "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Nibblr mobile application. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

Account information. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive account information made available by that provider, such as your name and email address, to create and sync your account. Apple may provide a private relay email address instead of your personal email address. You may also add a display name in the app.
Preferences and activity. Your saved likes, cuisine filters, price range, and distance settings so we can personalize your restaurant recommendations.
Location and group meeting areas. With your permission, we use your device location to find nearby restaurants. If you create or update a group meeting area, we store the location label, latitude and longitude, and selected radius as shared group settings.
Group and invitation information. When you use groups, we collect and store the group name, group member names, profile photos, account identifiers, and group membership. We also store group restaurant likes and restaurant details, match and final restaurant selections, group preferences, meeting times, and member meeting-time suggestions. When you view a group, we store a recent activity timestamp to show group members who is active.
Invitation and notification information. To create an invitation, we may collect the recipient's email address or phone number when you provide it, together with the inviter, group, invite status, and delivery method. With your permission, we collect your device's push-notification token to send you notifications. If you enable nearby restaurant-offer notifications, we also store the selected search area's latitude, longitude, and radius with your account to identify relevant nearby offers.
Camera and QR codes. If you choose to scan a group invitation QR code, the app uses your camera to read its invite link or code. The app does not store camera images or video.
Calendar information. If you choose to add a group meet-up to your device calendar, the app accesses your calendar with your permission and writes the selected restaurant, meeting time, location, and related note to the calendar you choose. We do not store your calendar contents on our servers.
Device and usage data. Standard technical data such as device type, operating system, and app interactions, including data collected by our advertising partners (see below).

Advertising

Nibblr displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob and its mediation partners. These services may use device identifiers and usage data to deliver and measure ads.

Where required by law (for example, under the GDPR in the European Economic Area and the UK), we present a consent prompt before serving personalized ads. You may choose non-personalized ads, and you can change your choice at any time.

How We Use Information

To provide, maintain, and improve the app's features.
To personalize restaurant recommendations and remember your settings.
To identify nearby offers for users who enable nearby restaurant notifications and send those notifications to their devices.
To display and measure advertising.
To keep the app secure and prevent abuse.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the app, including Google (authentication, hosting, and advertising) and our backend infrastructure providers, and where required by law.

Sharing within groups

Group information is shared with the members of that group to provide the feature. Group members can see the group roster, including member names and profile photos; shared group settings and meeting area; restaurant likes, liked-place details, like counts, matches, and the final restaurant choice; proposed meeting times; and recent activity status. Pending invitations may be visible to the group owner.

Invite links, QR codes, and join codes are intended to be shared by you with people you want to invite. Anyone who receives a valid invite link or code may be able to use it to request access to the group, subject to the app's invitation and membership controls.

Your Choices and Rights

You can update or revoke your advertising consent choice at any time from within the app.
You can manage location and camera permissions in your device settings. You can turn nearby restaurant-offer notifications off in the app's notification settings.
You can manage push-notification and calendar permissions in your device settings. You can leave a group, and group owners can remove members or delete a group, from within the app.
Depending on your region (for example, the EEA, UK, or California), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

U.S. State Privacy Rights

If you are a resident of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, or another U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have some or all of the following rights, subject to certain exceptions:

The right to know and access the personal information we collect about you.
The right to correct inaccurate personal information.
The right to delete the personal information we hold about you.
The right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information and of targeted/cross-context behavioral advertising.
The right not to be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.

Categories of personal information we collect: identifiers (such as name, email address, and device identifiers), internet or other electronic network activity (such as app interactions and advertising data), and location information, including coordinates and a selected search radius when you use location-based features. We disclose these categories to service providers, including Google, for authentication, hosting, and advertising.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, our use of advertising partners such as Google AdMob to serve personalized ads may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under certain U.S. state laws. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time:

In the app, open Profile → Privacy Policy and use the advertising consent controls to decline personalized ads, or
Reset or limit ad personalization in your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads; iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking), or
Contact us using the details below to submit an opt-out request.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf where permitted by law.

Data Retention

We retain account and preference data for as long as your account is active. We retain group settings, membership, group likes, meeting plans, invitations, and related activity data while they are needed to operate the group and our services. Deleting a group removes its group data; leaving a group stops your future participation, subject to data retained for legitimate operational, security, and legal purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

Children's Privacy

Nibblr is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when we do.
